Rajasthani Puppet Pair(Traditional Kaatputli set)

Veddaaranya Skill Centre women artisans beautifully recreate the traditional Rajasthani Kathputli (string puppet) art through handcrafted dolls dressed in vibrant Bandhani and Leheriya textiles. The male puppet wears a traditional dhoti with an achkan kurta, while the female puppet is adorned in a colourful ghagra choli with a red Bandhani or orange Leheriya dupatta.

Kathputli is an ancient folk art of Rajasthan, traditionally performed by puppeteers using wooden figures, strings, and storytelling to preserve cultural tales, history, and social messages. These handcrafted dolls celebrate Rajasthan’s rich heritage while supporting artisan skills and sustainable craft practices.
